
| La Spezia, March 26, 2025 – Given the numerous expressions of interest received by the organization, the deadline for the call for proposals has been extended to 'Seafuture’ dedicated to start-ups – “Seafuture Awards Start-up Area” – , has been expanded until May 31, 2025 at 5:00 PM, to give companies focusing on innovation related to the maritime economy more time to perfect their projects.
‘Seafuture’, among the main Blue Economy fairs in Italy, scheduled from 29 September to 2 October 2025 at the Arsenale Militare Marittimo of La Spezia, it constitutes an international showcase for start-ups; Its formula has always proven successful in generating connections and synergies between major national and international players, SMEs, academics and research institutions, innovative startups, and marine and maritime technology clusters, and in promoting and consolidating strategic relationships and exchanges aimed at strengthening and enhancing the economic position and competitiveness of the country system.
The tender, announced from Ibg – Italian Blue Growth in collaboration with the Ligurian Marine Technologies District Scrl, will select the start-ups deemed most deserving: the first two will be able to participate in Seafuture 2025 free of charge, while the remaining eight will have the opportunity to participate in the fair at a fixed and discounted cost of 1000 euros each.
Startups wishing to apply must be active in the following areas of expertise: Marine and maritime technologies / automation, defense, cyber & security, underwater, logistics, environmental sustainability, data analysis and monitoring, predictive maintenance, communication and connectivity and artificial intelligenceCompanies may participate exclusively by completing the online application form published on the website. www.seafuture.it
Startups selected to participate in Seafuture 2025 will have access to specific services, including a dedicated and equipped space, pitching sessions and networking opportunities to present their business to an audience of entrepreneurs and business decision-makers, and various visibility opportunities related to the event. Among this year's new features is the opportunity for these selected companies to participate in B2B meetings via a dedicated platform.
