La Spezia, 4 September 2026 – The initiatives to support internationalisation, promoted by the Ligurian Marine Technologies District and the DLTM Cluster, continue with a new strategic initiative, as they prepare to welcome a large delegation from the province of Québec.

Genoa, La Spezia and Livorno: a packed programme will take place between Sunday 6 and Thursday 10 September, featuring visits to the region’s main industrial sites, meetings with businesses, local institutions, technology clusters, the University of Genoa and representatives from the worlds of education and research.

The aim of this mission is to build bridges between two regions and their businesses, fostering dialogue between two sectors that share a common maritime focus and opening up new business opportunities.

This important initiative is being organised with the support of the Liguria Regional Government and Liguria International, as well as in collaboration with Confindustria La Spezia, which will make the Sala Pozzoli available for one of the events on the programme.

“The visit by the Canadian delegation represents, for us, for our businesses and for the entire Ligurian innovation ecosystem, a tangible opportunity to forge strong links with organisations across the Atlantic, and to increase opportunities for internationalisation and market expansion,” said Lorenzo Forcieri, president of the DLTM Cluster. “I would like to highlight our collaboration with the Liguria Regional Government and Liguria International, which has proved strategic in turning this ambitious project into a reality. I am certain that our businesses and the local economy will reap tangible benefits from the developments that this valuable opportunity will bring.”
