Financed by ENPI-CBC-MED funds, MEDSEATIES is a cross-border cooperation project for the coordination of local actions for Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM).

DLTM is a partner in the project (lead partner AVITEM, France).

Funded by ENPI-CBC-MED, MEDSEATIES is a cross-border cooperation project for the coordination of local actions for Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM). The partnership comprises 12 stakeholders from Italy, France, Lebanon, Greece, and Jordan.

The Project is in an advanced stage of implementation, and, after an initial phase dedicated to collecting the material necessary for a detailed description of the state of the art of ICZM in these 5 countries, the partnership is currently preparing a Pilot Project which will be characterised by:

1. consider a ‘bottom-up’ approach in the management of a stretch of coastal strip (from the citizen/stakeholder to the institutions);
2. represent a virtuous example that can be exported to other countries and funded under the new ENPI CBC MED 2014-2020 programming.

In Liguria this Pilot Project involves 5 Municipalities located along the Genoese coast, the community of the Fascia di Prà Territorial District – in the West of Genoa – amateur sports associations, educational centers, and socio-educational facilities in the area.
