YSW: Yachts Single Windows

Duration: September 2012 – February 2016

The YSW project focuses on recreational boating safety and the integration of information systems among stakeholders involved in various capacities in the recreational boating industry. The main objectives can be summarized as follows:

• design, prototype construction, and laboratory and field testing of a new-generation system to support recreational boating safety.
• Design, prototyping, and laboratory and field testing of a next-generation system for integrating the information systems of stakeholders in the recreational boating industry, aimed at providing utility services for boaters. Furthermore, the platform will be able to integrate sensors and environmental data collection devices and can be used for environmental data collection purposes.
