ERDF Calls for Proposals Liguria Region
In recent years, the Liguria Region has issued specific calls for research and innovation projects reserved for SMEs belonging to DLTM and Polo DLTM, also in collaboration with large companies and research organizations, for a total allocation of resources equal to 16.8 million euros.
Below is a summary of the results:
1st ERDF Call (Ed. 2011): 28 projects financed for a value of approximately over €10 million and financing disbursed of approximately over €5 million, involving 11 large-scale enterprises and 63 SMEs, in collaboration with UNIGE and EPR.
2nd ERDF Call (2012 Edition): 40 projects initially submitted, worth approximately €20 million; 9 large enterprises and 75 SMEs participated, in collaboration with UNIGE and EPR.
FSC (ex. FAS) Call - Liguria Region Research Centers
Regarding the FSC Funds allocated to the Research Centres (€15 million), the district team has seen three projects approved.
The approved projects are still underway, for a total amount of approximately €3.4 million and funding of approximately €1.83 million.
Youth Plan
Participation in three projects funded under the Liguria Region Youth Plan for the training of specialists (post-graduate specialization courses in 3D/4D, FEM and CFD, Hydrologist expert in monitoring systems for marine weather events, Integrated management systems operator)
Two-year research grants activated with ESF funds from the Liguria Region
Over 40 research projects to finance 80 two-year grants for young researchers, activated with ESF funds from the Liguria Region, progressively exhausted in 2015 for a total of €4 million;
This activity has led to important employment benefits among the young people involved, who in most cases have been employed in companies.
Research and Innovation Hub (PoloDLTM)
Co-financed 50% by Regional Funds in its Start-Up phase (2012-2014) and currently undergoing new infrastructure investments for the three-year period 2015-2017. Among the main activities completed in the first phase are the establishment of the Research Laboratories, the launch of the Innovation Desk for SMEs, and the conclusion of the feasibility study for the International School of Marine Technologies.
