New headquarters and expansion of research laboratories

Once the start-up phase of the Cooperative Laboratory system (CoRe Labs) has been completed, they will benefit, over the next three years, from regional PAR-FSC Funds which will allow the full development of research activities and the strengthening of the laboratories (€2 million).

The Supercomputing Center will therefore be strengthened with the acquisition of a new HPC Cluster and cutting-edge software tools, as well as the Marine Laboratory which, thanks to the creation of a Marine Station, will be included in the European monitoring network EMSO, a European Project managed by INGV in which all DLTM partners will participate.

Regarding the construction of the new headquarters at the Maritime Center of La Spezia (formerly the B. Falcomatà Military Hospital), the amount allocated to DLTM is €3 million, again from PAR FSC funds. The new headquarters, strategically located, will ensure the development of an even more structured network with the faculties of the Marconi University Center of La Spezia, also thanks to the sharing of research laboratories.
