ProDifCon: Integrated Naval Design, Defense and Control

Scope: Naval Technologies for Defense and Security
Duration: September 2012 – August 2015
The project brings together the realities of the ship platform with that of the paying cargo, pursuing the concept of Whole WarShip (WW), in all phases of the unit's life:

• from design – developing a new methodology that allows to support the critical phase of defining the ship configuration
• through decision support – developing a system prototype aimed at integrating the information made available to the commander by the Combat System and the platform
• to operational life – analyzing a modern operational scenario (“asymmetric threat”) in which Naval Units operate and the intertwining between platform and Combat System is extremely critical
